This
is a extremely unique, true metal look basecoat
that is as easy to use as a standard basecoat.
Works best over a smooth grey base or primer....
the smoother the better. MetaLust goes about
twice as far as standard basecoats and covers
well with very little buildup. Where it really
shines is in the sun! It makes candies literally
come alive unlike standard metallic basecoats.
The candies absolutely burst as soon as they're
in the sunlight (or very bright lights work
too)! Recommended to use a catalyzed clear or
candy directly over the MetaLust for best
adhesion (our
Speed Clear here is ideal
for this).
Works great for making 3D sanded metal
look for a candy base too. Just sand the grey
primer with a rotary disk (like
our Surface Prep Sungold disks here) and
apply MetaLust over the sand marks. Apply
your candy then clear and VIOLA!!!... A true 3D
work of art that moves in any light (see
pictures below).
