A Brief Overview Of
Mixing Ratios For Kits
With Xotic Colours
Epoxy Primer
1:1 (equal parts A and B) reduce 10% or as
needed with Epoxy Reducer only.
Poly Primer
(1 Qt Primer to 1 tube hardener) reduce 10%
or as needed with Acetone
Base Colors, Solids, Pearls or Metallic, etc
2:1 (2 parts paint to 1 part reducer)
If used in an airbrush then reduce closer to
1:1 (equal parts)
Concentrates
Mix into reduced
Protective, Bonding and Jammin' Clear (PB&J 34-200)
Reduce PB&J clear 1:1 with reducer and use
for all the concentrates.
Add concentrate to mixed PB&J above at 5-10%
(no more than 20%) or as desired for effect.
Production and Sun-Bloct
Clears
These are final clears mixed 3:1:1/2 (3
parts paint to 1 part catalyst to 1/2 part reducer)
Production clear is thicker and designed to bury graphics,
tape edges, pinstripes, etc. in 2-3 coats.
Once cured it usually needs to be wet sanded with 600 grit
to remove orange peel.
Sun -Bloct Clear is a thinner clear designed to flow out
very well.
2-3 final coats over the wet sanded Production clear will
allow for final wet sanding with 1500-2000-4000 grit for
polishing.
Dry Pearls
Best mixed into reduced PB&J above as needed
for effect (1oz per Qt is a good start)
